It's a cold winter!

This year we have a very cold winter (this morning I woke up and there was snow!), so baby chicks have to wrap up warmly if they don't want to get cold!
From my old ideas of Cold Chicks, here and here , I show you three pairs of supercute earrings: funny cold chicks, with a woollen hat, made of FIMO (polymer clay).

Quest'anno abbiamo un inverno molto freddo (stamattina quando mi sono svegliata c'era la neve! Poca, ma c'era...), quindi i piccoli pulcini devono coprirsi bene se non vogliono prendere freddo!

In this period I love making fimo cakes!
As you can see, I made two pair of earrings with cake slices.

In questo periodo adoro fare delle torte i fimo!

Come potete vedere, ho creato due paia di orecchini con delle gustose fette di torta (a vederle mi viene una fame...).

The first are slices of a vanilla and chocolate cake. I have to thank with all my heart the great artist Stephanie "PetitPlat" for sharing a tutorial she knew! Thank you Stephanie for inspiring me! Anyway you are always the number 1 in making polymerclay food (in particular dessert)!!!

Le prime sono fette di una torta alla vaniglia e cioccolato. Devo ringraziare con tutto il mio cuore la bravissima Stephanie "PetitPlat" per aver condiviso un tutorial che conosceva. Grazie Stephanie per avermi ispirata! In ogni caso rimani sempre la numero uno in fatto di cibo e dolci in pasta modellabile!!!

Own The Hour!!! And two featurings in Etsy Treasury =)

Hello!

Yesterday, thanks to Tizzalicious (great blog, great blogger and great artist! Go visit her!), I found out a new way to advertise my Etsy shop and my creations: Own The Hour! It is an independent Etsy promotion.

On the "About/F.A.Q." page you can read this: "Etsy sellers can advertise their product on our exclusive 12 item front page for just $0.50 cents per hour. They select the hours, and we do the rest! Etsy buyers, or those looking for great unique gifts, handmade crafts, and amazing pieces of art can stop buy each hour to see items that an Etsy seller has highlighted. This is a great thing! Obviously I purchased some slot for today (Sunday, 16th November): you'll be able to see my creation at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm EST (New York hour, in Italy it will be at 20.00, 21.00, 22.00, 23.00, 24.00 today). This is just a try, I hope I'll have some good results!
I hope that you, Etsy sellers who are reading, will speak about it on your blogs! Promote Own The Hour!

Ieri, grazie al blog Tizzalicious (fantastico blog, fantastica blogger e fantastica artista! Andate a visitarla!), ho scoperto un nuovo modo poco costoso per pubblicizzare il mio negozietto Etsy e le mie creazioni: il sito Own The Hour!

E' un sito indipendente da Etsy, non affiliato, che permette ai venditori di Etsy di acquistare per 0.50 USD (dollari americani) una "slot", un riquadro all'ora per pubblicizzare un prodotto del negozio. Ogni ora sono a disposizione 12 slots (ovviamente ognuno dovrebbe prendersi solo una slot all'ora per dare spazio anche agli altri).

V'invito a scrivere di Own The Hour sui vostri blog, così da farlo conoscere a più persone possibile e da far pubblicità ai venditori Etsy!!!
Ovviamente io ho già acquistato qualche slot: OGGI domenica 16 novembre potrete vedermi su Own The Hour alle ore italiane 20.00, 21.00, 22.00, 23.00, 24.00!

Back from London!

Hi!!!

Last Monday (10/11/08) I left for London with my boyfriend for our 4th anniversary, and we came back last Wednesday (12/11/08).
London is great! I just fell in love with it. We had so much fun together even though we get very tired and we had very little time to visit the city. We never used subway, but we walked so much!
The first night we stayed in an hotel (Enrico Hotel, in Warwick Way); and we spent the last night at Luton airport, because we had the flight very early the day after (6.35)! It has been very unconfortable, but I was so tired that I managed to sleep... The day after I had backache and neckache!

Lunedì sono partita per Londra con il mio moroso per il nostro 4° anniversario e siamo tornati mercoledì.

Londra è fantastica! Me ne sono innamorata. Ci siamo divertiti tantissimo anche se abbiamo avuto poco tempo per visitare la città e ci siamo molto stancati. Non abbiamo mai usato la metro o un bus, ci siamo sempre spostati a piedi!

La prima notte abbiamo dormito in un hotel (Hotel Enrico, in Warwick Way), mentre l'ultima notte l'abbiamo passata in aeroporto (a Luton) perché il mattino dopo avevamo il volo molto presto (6.35)! Ero scomodissima ma così stanca che sono riuscita a dormire anche se mi svegliavo ogni mezz'ora... ero una sedia, di certo non potevo stare a mio agio! =P Il mattino dopo avevo un mal di schiena/collo che non vi dico =(

Fortunately it was a sunny day! But it was windy and really cold!
We visited the Natural History Museum:

Fortunatamente è uscito il sole! Ma c'era tantissimo vento e faceva davvero freddo.

In the afternoon we went to Harrods, and we walked so much (too much!)
At about 8pm we catched the bus to airport and well, we spent the night there.

Nel pomeriggio siamo andati agli Harrods (sono decisamente troppo grandi), e abbiamo camminato tantissimo (troppo!).
Verso le 8 abbiamo preso la navetta per l'aeroporto dove abbiamo passato la notte.

Mercatino a Villasanta!

Ciao a tutti!
Scrivo molto velocemente per ricordarvi che domenica 09 novembre 2008 (ovvero dopodomani) avrò il mio terzo mercatino, a Villasanta (MI), nelle vie Confalonieri e Mazzini. Se siete da quelle parti passate a trovarmi!
Voglio scusarmi con tutte quelle persone che mi hanno lasciato commenti e mi hanno inviato e-mail in questi giorni e alle quali non ho ancora risposto: questo periodo è davvero fitto fitto d'impegni e di conseguenza ho un tempo proprio limitato! Da lunedì a giovedì sono andata a trovare mia sorella, mio cognato e il mio nipotino in Toscana, ora sto preparando le ultime cose per il mercatino di domenica, e lunedì parto per Londra, per una rapida e mini vacanzina! Tornerò infatti mercoledì...come vedete sono piuttosto presa. In ogni caso quando tornerò settimana prossima risponderò man mano a tutti quanti =)

Sorry, in these days I'm a little busy, so I can't follow the blog as I'd like to! This week I've been 3 days in Tuscany to see my sister, her husband and my little nephew; next Sunday I'm having a fair (and I'm busy with that) and next Monday I'm leaving for London for a very fast holiday (I'll be back on Wednesday) so as you can see I haven't time enough to do everything! "Autumn Leaves" Matryoshka Necklace

Hi my friends!

I must say I love Autumn, I love its colours, its scents, I even love rain (only if I'm at home!)... Autumn inspires me in my craft! I made something autumnal... today I show you my "Autumn Leaves" Matryoshka necklace!

Ciao amici!

Devo confessarvi che amo l'autunno, amo i suoi colori, i suoi profumi, mi piace persino la pioggia (ma solo se sono in casa al caldino!)... l'Autunno ispira la mia vena artistica! Ho creato qualcosa in tema, e oggi vi presento la mia collanina con Matryoshka "Foglie d'Autunno"!

The Matryoshka charm is made of pearled brown fimo (polymer clay); the eyes, the hair, the mouth and the golden decorations (leaves and polka dots) on her body are handpainted by me with acrylics with love and care!It is varnished with a special gloss lacquer for polymer clay after baking.On the brown metal chain I added a golden leaf made of fimo and a pine cone charmmade of vintage brass.

La Matryoshka è in fimo marrone metallizzato. I particolari del viso, e le foglie e i pois dorati sul corpo sono stati dipinti a mano da me, e foglia in fimo dorato, il tutto lucidato dopo la cottura; ho aggiunto anche uno charm in ottone a forma di pigna. La catenina di metallo è marrone.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" Snow White fimo Pendant

Hi!

Last week I realized this pendant that I named "Snow White Pendant". Why? Because on a goldplated chain (nickel free) I put a red apple charm, made of fimo (polymer clay), varnished after baking, and a mirror charm, goldplated on solid brass (nickel free). I was thinking about realizing it for weeks, maybe months, and finally I managed to make it! I looked for the mirror charm on Etsy, I ordered it, and when it arrived I was so happy! Finally I was able to realize my project. Now I have to say that I'm really satisfied, I like it very much! What do you think about it? Do you like it? If yes, and if you want it, you can buy it on my Etsy shop =) Remember that prices are in US dollars!

Oggi ritorno con una nuova creazione, che ho messo su Flickr già da un po', ma solo ora riesco a trovare il tempo di parlarne qui.

La settimana scorsa ho realizzato questa collanina, che ho chiamato "Biancaneve". Ho scelto questo nome perché su una catenina di metallo dorata ho messo uno charm a forma di mela rossa, lucidata dopo la cottura, e uno charm a forma di specchio in ottone dorato. Stavo pensando di realizzarlo da settimane, forse addirittura mesi, e finalmente ce l'ho fatta! Ho cercato lo specchio su Etsy, l'ho ordinato, e quando è arrivato ero felicissima, perché finalmente potevo realizzare il mio progetto! Devo dire che sono proprio soddisfatta, mi piace molto!

Quasi dimeticavo!
