ITA  Benritrovati amici! Arriva settembre e ci si guarda indietro increduli chiedendosi dove, come e quando sia finita l'estate. Che fine ha fatto agosto? Cosa ne è stato della sabbia tra le dita, della pelle incrostata di sale, delle passeggiate nelle pinete e sul bagnasciuga, delle camminate che ti portano ad esplorare luoghi e città e sentieri e paesaggi, del profumo di crema solare, delle notti in tenda infilati nel sacco a pelo? E' successo tutto davvero o me lo sono solo immaginata?

Where are the sand among the fingers, the salt on the skin, the walks in the pinewood and on the seaside, the explorations of new places and cities and landscapes, the perfum of the sunscreen, the nights camping in a tent? Did all this happen or did I imagine it?

Buon venerdì!
Lo scorso weekend sono stata in Umbria: prima a Perugia in occasione dell'Eurochocolate, manifestazione dedicata al cioccolato, poi ad Assisi.
Oggi vorrei mostrarvi qualche "instascatto" di quei due giorni passati in queste due bellissime città italiane, tra arte, cultura, splendidi paesaggi, gastronomia e angolini romantici senza tempo!
A Perugia vorrei inoltre consigliarvi la Trattoria "Al Mangiar Bene", un posto molto accogliente con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Abbiamo mangiato bene senza spendere una fortuna. Io ho ordinato le tagliatelle al tartufo e ho assaggiato un po' di scamorza al coccio con tartufo: tutto davvero ottimo!
Inoltre penso che i valori sui quali questa trattoria è pensata siano condivisibili e stimabili: vi copio qui la presentazione che c'è sul loro sito. 

"Questa Trattoria-Pizzeria ha la pretesa di essere un progetto di filiera corta biologica.Un esercizio commerciale che, per l’acquisto delle materie prime, non si avvale dei canali d’intermediazione convenzionali ma di un rapporto diretto con le aziende agricole locali, prediligendo quelle a conduzione biologica. Nel nostro Menù sarà specificato, prodotto per prodotto, da quale azienda agricola proviene e dove è ubicata, con l’intento di ri-dare un’identità al cibo che consumiamo. Non utilizziamo prodotti delle Multinazionali dell’Agroalimentare che con la loro politica commerciale stanno espellendo dalle campagne i nostri agricoltori, senza rendere alcun vantaggio di prezzo e di qualità al cittadino consumatore".

Happy Friday!
Last weekend I've been in Umbria: first in Perugia for Eurocholate, and then in Assisi.
Today I'd like to show you some "instashots" from those days in these two wonderful places, full of art, culture, wonderful landscapes, good food and romantic corners!
I also would like to recommend you a "trattoria" (a restaurant) called "Al Mangiar Bene". Here you can eat very well without paying too much. I ate tagliatelle with truffles and tasted baked scamorza cheese with truffle sauce: both amazing dishes!
Besides, I agree with the values of this trattoria:

Instaholidays: Mantova

Questo weekend l'ho passato fuori porta: sabato sono stata a Mantova, e domenica sono passata da Verona, a trovare le mie amiche creative che esponevano al Festival dell'Handmade (e a rifarmi gli occhi con cotante meraviglie fatte a mano!).

Instaholidays, part II. Memories from Portovenere

Ecco un nuovo episodio di Instaholidays. L'ultima volta vi avevo mostrato le mie foto Instagram da Tirrenia, in Toscana. Tornando da quei pochi giorni di vacanza, ci siamo fermati qualche ora a Portovenere, un paesino ligure vicinissimo a La Spezia. Una piccola perla. Io me ne sono innamorata, con le sue spiaggette minuscole, la costa rocciosa, le case variopinte e il porticciolo con le barchette ormeggiate, che dondolano sonnacchiose nelle acque tranquille. Qui tutto è piccolo, ti sembra di passeggiare in un paese delle bambole. Di fronte, si possono scorgere le tre isole Palmaria, Tino e Tinetto. 
Il nome Portovenere (o Porto Venere) deriva probabilmente da un tempio dedicato alla dea Venere Ericina, che si trovava sul promontorio in cui ora svetta la chiesa di San Pietro. Secondo la tradizione, la bellissima dea nacque dalla spuma del mare, che abbonda sotto il faraglione (da Wikipedia).
Ho altre foto di questo posto meraviglioso da mostrarvi, ma lo farò nel prossimo appuntamento con Instaholidays ;)

Here a new episode of Instaholidays. Last time I showed you my Instagram pictures from Tirrenia (Tuscany). Driving home from those few days of holidays, we stopped a couple of hours in Portovenere, a small town in Liguria very near to La Spezia. It's a tiny pearl. I totally fell in love with it, with its small beaches, its rocky coast, its multicolored houses and its small port with the tiny boats docked, rocking sleepy in the calm water. Here everything is small, you feel like walking in a doll world. In front of the town, you can spot three islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto.
The name Portovenere (or Porto Venere) comes from a temple dedicated to the goddess Venus, sited on the promontory where the church of Saint Peter now stands. The tradition says that the beautiful goddess was born from the sea foam, plentiful under that stack (source: Wikipedia).
I have more photos of this wonderful place to show you, but I'll do it in the next Instaholidays post ;)

Rieccomi, la mia breve vacanza è già terminata... e sono di nuovo in città!
Sono stata in Toscana, e più precisamente a Tirrenia, località Calambrone, provincia di Pisa. Eravamo in tenda in un campeggio: quattro giorni all'insegna del relax!
Ed ecco qualche foto dal mio Instagram (seguitemi, basta cercare petitefraise87). Questa è solo la prima parte :) nel corso di questo mese ce ne saranno altre, per documentare le mie vacanze(ine) e i giretti che farò!

Sono tornata! La mia settimana di vacanza a New York è finita, e ora sono pronta a riprendere alla grande! Sarei banale a dire che la City mi è piaciuta tantissimo, quindi lascio parlare queste mie foto, sperando che siano di vostro gradimento :) se vi piacciono, magari prossimamente ve ne mostro delle altre!

A Pretzel and some days in Trieste

Cari amici,

innanzitutto: BUON ANNO NUOVO! Questo è il mio primo post dell'anno, anche se un po' in ritardo.

Ho un po' di cose di cui parlarvi, alcune molto importanti, quindi spero di non annoiarvi :)

Prima di tutto, volevo mostrarvi questa collana di cui vado molto orgogliosa (so che non è carino dirlo...ma farla mi è costata impegno e nel vedere il risultato finale mi sono ritrovata molto contenta!). E' un Pretzel, tipico pane tedesco (clicca QUI per andare alla pagina di Wikipedia per ulteriori informazioni), creato in FIMO su commissione per un regalo di Natale. Era la primissima volta che mi cimentavo nella realizzazione di un Pretzel, e non avevo idea di come sarebbe riuscito! Ma ora che ho provato, mi sono divertita nel farlo e ho visto che il risultato mi piace, probabilmente lo riproporrò! :D

first of all: HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is my first new year's blog post, even if little late.

I have many things to write today, so I hope not to bore you :)

First thing, I want to show you this (see above) necklace, realized on custom order for a Christmas present, representing a Pretzel made of polymer clay, typical German bread (click HERE to go to Wikipedia page if you'd like to learn more). I'm very proud of it! (I know it's unfair to say that, but I'm really satisfied with the final result). I hadn't made one before, but I think I'll remake in the future :)

Ora vorrei condividere con voi qualche foto scattata durante la mia breve vacanza di Capodanno a Trieste, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Non faceva freddo per fortuna, ma ha piovuto 3 giorni su 3! Accidenti!

Eravamo in quattro in un appartamento monolocale, quindi abbiamo fatto il Cenone in casa, ma poi verso le 23 siamo scesi in piazza muniti di ombrelli e Spumante! :D

Il 1 gennaio abbiamo visitato il bel Castello di Miramare (mi è piaciuto davvero tantissimo) sempre sotto la pioggia e sotto un cielo grigio e scontroso.

Now I'd like to share with you some photos of my short New Year's Eve holidays in Trieste, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (North-East of Italy).

Fortunately it wasn't too much cold, but it rained during all the 3 days we stayed there! Damn!

We spend our New Year's Eve's dinner in the apartment, and about at 11 p.m. we went in the square provided with umbrellas and wine! :D
